AP Friday, August 14, 2009 9:46 PM A delegation of US senators led by former Republican Presidential candidate John McCain met with Libyan leaders on Friday in Tripoli to discuss the possible delivery of non-lethal defence equipment.Libyan TV showed the American delegation, which also included Senators Joseph Lieberman, Susan Collins and Lindsey Graham, meeting Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi as well as his son, and national security adviser, Mutassim. The visit and Washington’s offer of military equipment was another sign of the improving ties between the formerlongtime adversaries.A halting, five-year rapprochement between the two countries began in 2003 when Gadhafi renounced extremism and weapons of mass destruction and accepted his government’s responsibility for the Lockerbie bombing and paid compensation to the victims’ families.Earlier this year, Washington posted an ambassador to Libya for the first time in 36 years.Senator McCain, however in a news conference after the meeting, said the US remained concerned about Libya’s record on human rights and political reform. The US State Department’s 2008 human rights report on Libya says problems include reported disappearances, torture, arbitrary arrests and the detention of political prisoners. The report also cites a lack of civil liberties, restrictions on freedom of religion and discrimination against women and ethnic minorities. The meeting came amid speculation that the man convicted of the Lockerbie bombing could be … Video Rating: 4 / 5
Question by addicted2music_x: Could my dog have skin cancer?
He has several black bumps on his body, and several large, pinkish bumps that look veiny. We showed the vet and he doesn’t think so, and if you press/squeeze them nothing comes out and he doesn’t growl/bark/anything, he doesn’t even seem to notice. So does he or not? I want a second opinion. And if its not cancer what could it be? is it normal?
He’s an older, corgi/chihuahua mix if that matters.

Answer by JS820 They could just be moles. My aunt has a cocker spaniel that has moles all over it’s body and they’re not cancerous.
My dog Mattie, who recently passed away from cancer, playing with her best friend Homer. And me, sounding like a total nerd trying to get them riled up. Video Rating: 0 / 5

Question by Strawberry: what are some Dog cancer remedies/ medications?
MY dog was just diagnosed with cancer it started on her chest nipples and moved to her lungs. The doctor gave us prednisolone 5 mg to give her to help her breathing. I have been looking up what it is and it says it Decreases the ability of the pet to fight infection. Did they make a mistake in prescribing this? They will not operate on her because of her age they say she won’t wake up from the operation but other than the cancer she is in healthy condition. The cancer Isn’t causing her pain she is just having trouble breathing. She is a ten year old Pekingese pure bread. I’m trying to find everything I can do to Help my dog. Please is there any medications i can get her or anything at all I can do? Please I need help she means the world to me.

Answer by Clumsical of the !MC! Squad just like cancer in humans, there is no cure for cancer in dogs.
Every medicine has negative side effects. Heck, the most common medical procedure done to help people (chemo) with cancer is specifically designed to weaken the immune system, it isn’t really your biggest worry at this point.
For all you or anyone else knows, the cancer could be causing her a great deal of pain, even if she isn’t showing it.
I would continue giving her the medication for the breathing, and once her quality of life is seriously injured by the cancer, you may want to start considering euthanasia as an option.
Once again can’t keep a golden out of water during our last adventure together. This was the last trip that we took before Treynor lost his battle with cancer. Shortly after this video was taken, a very large brown bear ran through this very location. Way too close comfort. Video Rating: 5 / 5
Question by Dances With Woofs!: World’s tallest dog has cancer?
Have you read about Gibson, the tallest dog in the world? He is a Harlequin Great Dane, and he just lost a leg to cancer. It will be hard for such a large dog to adjust to life on three legs.Do you think he can do it? Have you ever known a Great Dane or similar – sized dog with three legs?

I don’t know how old he is,but since dogs support 70% of their weight on their front legs,I hope it won’t be too hard on him.

Answer by The Least of Jesus’ Brothers It’s from doggie original sin.
Couldn’t help the sarcastic answer. Can never tell how serious these questions are, sometimes.
The truth is, cancer is naturally produced, it is a fact of life. Some people and animals have bodies that produce so much that they die. Your loss is unfortunate, and I sympathize, but such is life, and death.
